Wind & Weather

The best laid plans of Candice & Lilly get ruined by weather. Today was a very bad weather day. The wind was crazy. Than in the afternoon/evening the storm came. 

Our morning session was really hard because the wind was so crazy it was not really safe to work on her feet. The wind was making all the horses just a little bit more stir crazy. 

Our evening session was even worse. The wind was blowing even harder and the storm was coming. Lilly's energy was very high. She wanted me to put on her halter but she also didn't want to stand still. She had too much energy and maybe even anxiety because of the weather. So I took her over to the wind shelter to get her out of the wind and then it got really really bad. 

Then Pepper and Gracie came running over and kicked everyone out of the shelter. Beryll and Pluto where trying to help keep Lilly block from the high winds. But since they were not getting the full benefit from the shelter because Pepper and Gracie were being jerks - I decided to try to find a way to feed Lilly so she could eat to keep warm. So I pulled up my car next to the fence to help block the wind at least a little. Than I pushed her food under the fence that way I could pull her food out if the other horses tried to get it. It was going really well but then the wind and snow slowed down and little and Pepper and Gracie came to steal her food. So I quickly pushed her food under the fence. After a while they gave up and I was able to drive them away. Then Lilly ate some more. But than Pluto came over and I could not drive her away. So I had to pretty much give up. But then Jerry came to feed them hay and Lilly wanted the hay instead. So I dumped out the rest of the food (there wasn't too much left) and went home.
